For a long time, the kind of "dumb and deaf English" teaching phenomenon has been disturbing foreign language teaching circles. Analyzing its formation reasons. There are two main reasons. One is lack of language environment. The other is appropriate teaching methodologies haven't been found. The study was undertaken to explore new teaching notions and methodologies. This study aimed at the practical problems existing in foreign language teaching circles which reflect on teaching theories and practice aspects. Its purpose is to make it clear there are wrong opinions on teaching theories and practice aspects. It regards task-based learning as the newest theory, connecting foreign teaching practices, put forward to special foreign language teaching notions. The study explored setting up practical problems on teaching theories and practices under China Conditions. And explored the arguments and disagreements among respective teaching theories schools valuably.English language teaching is TEFL, not TESL. It is very important to transfer teaching notions and methodologies. Making a living for a student after graduation is even more important. The goals of making a living have determined English teaching is task-based learning. It means at what occasion, at what time for someone, say what and not say what in some way. Grammar teaching shouldn't be ignored, but paid more attention. English teaching is an important means to carry out Quality Education. English teacher should cultivate students' innovation abilities and creation abilities of language generation. "If he has a fish, he can eat only once; but if he can fish, he can eat all his life."In a word, the study tried to explore new teaching notions and methodologies, gradually find out a teaching way to adapt to China Conditions on foreign language teaching.
