The relationship between culture and communication, especially the mtercultural communication , has become the most important topic in the field of language research. People more and more realize that language and culture are unseparatable. They work in tandem. Each language has its pound culture. English-teaching is not only the teaching course about the English language itself, but the course of understanding English culture background knowledge. Some experts on English-teaching thinks that it is the main criterion to distinguish the traditional English-teaching and modern English-teaching, whether we put the culture knowledge into English-teaching or not.In the terms of theory, we discuss about the importance of intercultural communication, the relationship between the culture and communication, the language and communication. At the same time we also demonstrate how communication and intercultural communication are affected intentionally and intentionally. Meanwhile in this thesis we point out the significance of nonverbal communication. We also offers some potential problems or obstacles when we interact with the people from the different cultures, and give some guide and suggestions about how to improve intercultural communication.According to the above theory, during English-teaching, we should gradually introduce eastern and western culture background knowledge integrating with the textbooks, and we should consciously instruct the students to understand the differences between English culture and Chinese culture, enhance the students' intercultural consciousness. We educate their culture quality which is needed when they interact with the people from different cultures. Try to avoid misunderstanding because of pragmatic mistakes not grammatical mistakes.On the ground of the above views, in this thesis, we discuss about how to educate the students' culture quality and how to introduce culture background .
