| Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology,computer and communication science are developing very fast,among which multimedia technology is an important part ,and it is entering education field and becoming an effective teaching medium.With the appliance of multimedia ,the process of collecting,choosing,storaging,changing and transporting education information is becoming better and better ,teaching content is enriched and teaching style is changed ,which is beneficial to cultivate the students' new ideas. In this essay ,the author mainly discussed under morden education theory ,in plant biology teaching ,how to design multimedia software ,how to carry out teaching activities and how to analyze the teaching effect .What's more ,the author put forward some thought on multimedia teaching and gave some suggestions. For the features of plant biology ,multi-medium technology is going to be used more and more in this field ,which is going to cause a reform in botany and biology teaching. From the research on how to apply multimedia technology to plant biology teaching ,the author carried out a set of discussion in order to give some experience and reference to advance the teaching reform.
