Multimedia Assisted High School Biology Teaching

The thesis fully analyses the multimedia Computer Assisted Instruction (CAT) in Biology, on the base of summarizing the traditional ways of teaching. The thesis focuses on the following issues: The function of computer in teaching; the features of CAI and multimedia CAI ; a demonstration of the significance of multimedia CAI hi teaching in Senior High Schools from different aspects(for example, the development of the human society, the development of the instructional theory, the combination of the instructional theory and teaching practice, the improvement of instructional qualities); an introduction of the features of multimedia CAI and its applied patterns ; the researching status of the application of multimedia CAI at home and abroad; the characters of education during the period of the information teaching and the organizing form of multimedia teaching; the operation of multimedia CAI on the Biology teaching according to the teaching aims(including the conditions of this operation and provides practical cases); as well as some puzzling problems at present and some personal suggestions.The thesis mainly illustrates the application of Biology teaching hi Senior High School, which can helps students make revision and consolidation, solve difficulties in study, search information and so on. The advantage is that the application of multimedia can not only ease the study burden of students, but develop students interest in the study; at the same tune progress their study strategy and improve their ability in the study.Making use of multimedia CAI is a great challenge both to the instructional forms and to the teachers, Only when the teachers skillfully master all kinds of knowledge on the soft ware and hard ware of the computer, the functions of modern educational technology can be completely fulfilled. And only when they fully combine the information technology and professional knowledge, and use new teaching method properly under the new teaching form, the education undertaking of our country can be improved to a higher level.
