Information technology change rapidly, the classroom teaching began to shift from the traditional teachingmode gradually into organic integration of a variety of ways to multimedia teaching. According to thecharacteristics of biology, teaching is to help students understand the abstract content, one of the essentialway to improve the quality of teaching. In biology class, students are exposed to many biological resources,help to improve the students’ interest in learning, increase their knowledge. In the use of multimediacourseware, can take a lot of pictures, animation, film and other materials are integrated in the same class,give full play to function of multimedia computer, multimedia into biology teaching, and according to thecharacteristics of biology, seek the combination of multimedia and traditional teaching the most appropriate,to change the traditional way of teaching, innovative teaching ideas, adjust the structure of teaching, andimprove the efficiency of classroom teaching, improving teaching quality, promoting teaching reform.At present, the multimedia technology in the teaching application, this paper introduces the study ofcombined application of multimedia technology in biology teaching, multimedia, the meaning oftheoretical basis, research background and research status at home and abroad, the multimedia technologyin the senior high school biology curriculum and application of multimedia integrated teaching model inbiology application of teaching and other aspects of exploration and research. This paper mainly throughexperimental method, observation method and interview three group experimental design, set up threegroups of experiments in senior grade one chose three classes, one class adopted the traditional teachingmode, the multimedia teaching second classes, third classes using multimedia combination of traditionalteaching mode, were observed by in the course of the experiment, the three classes of students learningstate, learning interest, enthusiasm and so on, compare the overall performance of three class after theexperiment, and interview with students, understanding students’ personal experience, the end result is:enthusiasm by multimedia with traditional teaching class students the other two experimental classes ofbiological disciplines overall grades and learning biology obviously increased, interest in learning has beenstrengthened; and fully take the multimedia technology, which makes the whole class is boring, the studentsirritable, learning interest drops, the student’s attention easy to disperse.Through the above three experiments results, multimedia teaching has great superiority, but the teacher need for effective application, pay attention to the organic integration of traditional teaching, subjectiveinitiative proper combined application of various teaching methods to arouse the students, cultivate thescientific literacy of students, improve the quality of teaching. The combination of multimedia technologywith traditional teaching methods reasonable together, together in the biology classroom teaching, so as toimprove the teaching efficiency of teachers, improve the students’ interest in learning, to achieve a perfectcombination of teaching and learning.
