This dissertation focuses on the motivating system of elementary and secondary school teachers' in-service education in U.S.A from 80s' of 20 century, hackling its' development and actuality, inquiring into its features and principles, analysing the related factors effecting it and its result, and at last, finding some valuable experience and recommendations for the development of the in-service education of teacher of China.The dissertation is made up of an introduction and a text. Firstly, the introduction clarities the cause and significance of the thesis, the research object, methods and main content.The text includes four parts: Part One tells the history of the motivating system of elementary and secondary school teachers' in-service education in U.S.A.briefly; Part Two introduces the the motivating measures of elementary and secondary school teachers' in-service education in U.SA from 80s' of 20 century in detail, summarizing its features and principles; Part Three analyses the causes of its formation and discusses its result and problems; Part Four compares American motivating system with China's, deriving some experience and recommendations from the motivating system of elementary and secondary school teachers' in-service education in U.S.A from 80s' of 20 century which will benefit the development of the in-service education of teacher of China.
