Teacher qualification is a qualification of a kind of national job, a symbol of a kind of identity and an approval of a kind of job. It regards a teacher as most basic terms by representative. Teacher' s job has moved towards specialization gradually since world teacher's system of education is established. Teacher's qualification system is to realize teacher's specialized legal system guarantee, which has enormous facilitation to teacher's educational reform. The American teacher' s qualification has comparatively perfect system, which have valuable experiences deserve to us draw lessons from among themThe thesis regards developping in history as the clue, analysing the characteristics, the rule of development and development trend in the future of American teacher' s qualification of each periods of teaching education, which offer some thinking for implementation of teacher's qualification system of our country.The thesis divides into three parts mainly:The first part, the historical evolution of grade teacher's qualification authentication in U.S.A. ( before the eighties of the 20th century)According to four stages of teacher's educational development ( normal school before setting up, normal school stage, college of education stage, institute of university education department stage)the author has analysed the characteristic of every stage qualification authentication of the teacher and its reason formed.The second part, the reforms and characteristics of grade teacher' s qualification authentication in U. S. A. since the eighties of the 20th century.The author has analysed the background of the American teacher's qualification authentication reform since the eighties of the 20thcentury mainly, simply introduced the contents of the reports about 'a nation at risk' , 'a nation prepared:teachers for the 21th century' etc.,and analysed the current situation of teacher's qualification authentication. And the author has probed into the development trend of grade teacher' s qualification authentication in U.S.A. :improving the standard of teacher's qualification authentication, setting up national credential system, cooperative authentication of lots of mechanism and the combing of teacher's qualification authentication and teacher' s continuing education. At last the author has analysed simply the pros and cons of American teacher' s qualification authentication.The third part, grade teacher's qualification authentication enlightenment of China in U.S.A. Firstly, the author has analysed the necessity and possibility of implements of teacher' s qualification authentication in China. Secondly, the author has probed into U. S. A.' s enlightenment of Chinese teacher' s qualification authentication.
