Public Space And Urban Community Development

As the role of citizen loses, community space attracts people's attention. At present, urban community studies pays more attention to community's autonomy, community's mechanism system innovation, community's participation, community's power, community service, etc. There are very little study between community public space and community development.Community member is the subject of community development, their participation in community activity is the core of community development, and an important channel of participating in community's affairs is public space. At certain meaning, public space determine participation in community's affairs, and then influence community development. So, study public space and urban community development in terms of sociology have extremely important research meaning and realistic meaning.This thesis studies the relation between public space and urban community development, used the sociology basic method, and had collected domestic and international academia about public space and relevant research results of community development, and the urban community study of resident's demand. Then combine author's relevant materials and achievement in community study, make a positive research with deep system and theory analysis.This article reviews current research about public space and community development at first, then from the aspects of community residents, community public space and government to discuss the currant situation and existing problem of public space, in order to explain the relation between public space and community development. Finally put forward new angle and method to community building that carry on at present.
