Morality Environment in Colleges and Universities (hereinafter referred to as MECU) is the totality of all specific factors which exert influences and restrictions on the physical development, skill training, morality formation and development of the college students and the morality work in colleges and universities. MECU, with sensibility, maneuverability and adaptability as its features, consists of social environment and campus environment.In this article, the author divides the morality environment into Core Environment, Backbone Environment and Base Environment in the angle of its influence. The Core Environment includes academic, cultrure, concensus atmosphere and environment in colleges and universities and the spirits and believes in running schools. The Backbone Environment contains:First, favorable interpersonal relationship and good psychological conditions. Second, the assurance of government laws and policies. Third, the rules and regulations in colleges and universities. The Base Environment comprises of off-campus environment and on-campus material environment.At present, MECU is facing a lot of new challenges and influences, among which the following three factors are the most influencial: First, social factors. Second, family factors. Third, campus factors, which contain the structure of discipline, the source of studentst and the problems of obtaining employment.Therefore, to improve MECU, feasible measures should be taken: Section One, moblize all efforts to optimize the social environment in MECU. Section Two, reinforce cultural construction in a practical way to elevate the taste of MECU. Section Three, strengthen internal regulations to establish a good enviroment onand off campus. Section Four, pay more attention to set up a good family environment. Section Five, take effective measures to optimize cyber environment with corresponding constructing work. Section Six, reinfore the construction of academic spirits and the faculty's zeal for teaching.
