Goals Of Moral Education In Colleges And Universities Of The New Century

Since the seventies of the 20th century, the issue of moral education is always given close attention and attached great importance by the international education organizations and all the countries in the world , and it is also a hot topic that goes down well with the discussion of educational reform and other every type's symposium. Facing with the 21st century, there has heavy sense of mission and intense feeling of urgency in moral education, especially in the reform and development of moral education of colleges and universities. And a fundamental issue of moral education of colleges and universities is that kind of senior people with professional skills who can be called the people accepted education in morality. Seemingly, it is a discussion of the result of moral education, but the result of moral education of colleges and universities that has conceivability. So, in fact, this issue can be named the discussion of moral education's aim of colleges and universities. Moral education's aim of colleges and universities is the starting and ending point of moral education work of colleges and universities, and determines the orientation of moral education work of colleges and universities, and is the yardstick of measurement and assessment of colleges and universities' moral education work's effect, and also is the crux of improvement of moral education work's effectiveness. So the reform of moral education of colleges and universities must begin with it.My study puts stress on the five aspects on the basis of the full assimilation of the existing research results:The first part expounds the meaning and properties of moral education's aim of colleges and universities. In doing the humane and social studies, the usual way is to analyze, collate and stipulate the research object's concept. And my study also has adopted this method.The second part expounds the bases for structuring of moral education's aim of colleges and universities. My study has brought to light some law knowledge of structuring of moral education's aim of colleges and universities, which principally bases on some fields, such as the theoryabout human being's all-round development, the human valuable ideology heritage of the moral education's aim, the mission of our country's moral education taking up in the new age, the present times and social background, the target pursuing of personnel training in colleges and universities in the 21st century and the traits of college students' moral burgeon, and so on.The third part expounds the retrospect and careful thinking of the moral education's aim in Chinese history. Inheriting the past and ushering in the future, carrying forward the cause and forging ahead into the future, structuring the new age's moral education's aim of colleges and universities must be on the premise of drawing lessons from the previous aims. This article mainly has analyzed the Confucian school's moral education's aim in ancient times of China and moral education's aim of colleges and universities from the establishment of New China.The fourth part expounds moral education's aim of external colleges and universities and common properties. Our country's educational undertakings must establish on the world culture. This article has mainly chosen America and Japan as the representatives of two types to analyze, and for the above analysis induced the common properties of moral education's aim of external colleges and universities.The last part expounds propositions of moral education's aim of colleges and universities in the new age in China. Considering our present situation, drawing lessons from the experience of the former history and the design of moral education's aim of external colleges and universities, this article has put forward a aim system concept, and designed our moral education's aims of colleges and universities which suit the new century from four levels: basic goal, guiding goal, core goal, supreme goal, and also ,the capacity of moral selecting is assumed as the link of the system of goals.
