The modernization of the mathematics teaching in middle school is not for the teaching contents, but the modernization of mathematics thought method and teaching means. Strengthening mathematics structural thought method teaching has a strong realistic significance to develop the students' ability of solving mathematical problems, train students' creative thinking in mathematics, develop students' mathematics quality and carry out mathematical curriculum objective of middle school.This essay expounds the mathematics structural thought method and its teaching from four aspects. First, the essay discusses the meanings and characteristics of mathematics structural thought method, at the same time, summarizes the actions in mathematical development. Mathematics structural thought method has some characteristics like constructivity, objectivity, agility and so on. The essay respectively discusses the actions of mathematics structural thought method from three aspects: the influence of ancient mathematics of East and West, the structural explanation on classical mathematics and promotion the development of mathematical theory. Second, the essay discusses principles, tactics, categorizations and typical examples of mathematical problem solving with mathematics structural thought method. Applying structural thought method to solving mathematical problem will follow the familiar, intuitional, harmonious and similar principle .At the same time it has some basic tactics: direct structure according as condition and conclusion, changing forms of condition and conclusion to indirect structure, structure according to basic mathematics structure and structure allelomorph. According to the structural mode structural method containsdirect structure and indirect structure. The direct structure contains structuring conclusion, inductive structure and structuring counter-examples. The indirect structure contains equivalence structure, strong structure and weak structure. There are some classical structural examples in middle school teaching and this essay will introduce structure function, equation, graphics and drawer, in the same time discusses their models of problem solving. Third, the essay researches the actions of structural thought method in middle school mathematical teaching and the cultivation of students' mathematics structural thought. Firstly, the essay expounds the significance of mathematics structural thought method teaching and its academic gist of pedagogics and psychology. Next, the essay researches the actions in conception teaching, students' favorable mathematical cognition construction, mathematical problem solving and cultivation of mathematical thinking, at the same time, put forward six idiographic suggestions. Finally, the essay makes out the application and filter with a teaching case.
