The multi-intelligence theory is a new educational idea which is popular in the world. It has a far-reaching influence on every country's reform and development of teaching practice. The theory is a best key to the quality education. Under the background of the quality education, physical education is gradually presenting "personality, intelligence, pluralism" characters. With the help of scientific theories and proper teaching strategies, multi-medium teaching enriches multi-intelligence teaching practice greatly. In physical teaching classes. We should make good use of textbooks, pay attention to students' characters and potential abilities, make students build up healthy personality while making themselves stronger by using the multi-intelligence teaching theory. This is one of the most important physical education reforms, and also it is the key to my issue's design and research.My issue is based on Dr. Howard Gardner's multi-intelligence theory and some other related multi-intelligence teaching works on physical education, including some educational. Psychological works and materials, combination with the physical education situation and student's characters in vocational colleges. Depending on the complete factors in teaching model: theory basis, teaching aim, teaching procedure, teaching strategy and evaluation, I design out the multi-intelligence teaching model in vocational college physical education. The model has following characters: (1) Multi-intelligence teaching is closely related to quality education. It explains and enriches quality education by using the latest psychological research results. (2) It is centered on students, makes different teaching methods and strategies according to different students, combines their listening, thinking and practicing, changes the definite teaching ways. (3) In teaching arrangement, it gives studying time and procedure back to students. (4) It can make students more interested in studying complicated actions, and arouse their study interest.Base on teaching experiments, the research also adopts the questionnaire designed by Pro. Mao Zhengming, which studies the interest, attitude and motivation to physical classes, to make investigation before and after experiments. The results show that: 1. Multi-intelligence teaching can promote students' intelligent and skill development efficiently, especially superior intelligences in teaching practice. 2. The model can promote students' study initiative and activity, and it is helpful for students to gain active feeling experience. The study motivation and interest of the experimental class is clearly better than that of the common class (P<0.01); 3. It is useful for teachers to enrich and renew their knowledge. Also it's useful for them to make question situation and adjust teaching methods properly. 4. It can promote teaching evaluation of physical education efficiently. 5. It can fulfil teaching task well. In skill study and usage, the difference between the experimental class and the common class is quite clear (p<0.05), and teaching effect of the former is much better than that of the latter..
