With the help of the situational teaching theory in Chinese and situational cognitivetheory abroad ,the essay studies the practice of the situational teaching theory in Englishteaching in our middle school, especially its effect on middle school students` communicativeability in English ,and search the methods and strategies with it and a complete evaluationsystem suit to it. The essay tries to analyze present education purpose and evaluation systemto find out the problems and reasons in our English teaching in middle schools. Due to thecognitive theory and stimulant theory in psychology, it studies the disable perception duringthe learning English to find the emotional measure to make the students feel safe to learnEnglish. As to teaching situation English teachers need to carefully set up teaching situationwith variety of teaching resources to get students to learn English and practise communicativeskills automatically in language situations. With rich examples and reasonable theories,theessay analyses the present evaluation system and points out its short comings, and try to builda reasonable evaluation system to evaluate the level of communicative skills and abilitieswhich students reach. From the emotional stimulation and situational cognitive theories the essay analyses thepopular problems of learning English in our middle schools to solve the disable problem inmiddle school students. The teachers set up suitable language situations and guide thestudents to gradually use learned English knowledge to communicate. What is most important is to make students have successful experience continually.
