Evaluation reform is one important part of the curriculum reform of the basic education, and it restricts the successful implementation of the new curriculum. To realize the new chemistry curriculum objectives, it is in great need correspondingly of a new system of evaluation. Traditional chemistry educational evaluations exist serious abuse in functions, main bodies, contents and styles or means of evaluations. So the new curriculum sparkplugs that we should combine primely the qualitative evaluation and the quantitative evaluation. As one of important qualitative evaluations, performance assessment has been extensively in attention. However, how to carry out performance assessment is the current problem that be in dire need of settling. On the analysis of the state of the chemistry educational evaluation, and also on the analysis of the ideas of evaluation that the new curriculum sparkpluged, the meaning and characteristic of the performance assessment, the developments of the ideas of chemistry educational evaluation and the theory of multiple intelligence, it is deeply discussed in this thesis the concepts of the performance assessment in chemistry teaching. And it put forward the fundamental principles of the construction and the implementation of the evaluation scheme . They are the development of the evaluation, the open of the evaluation, the inspirit of the evaluation and the democracy of the evaluation. On the basis, we establish the scheme of the evaluation which consists of student's insider evaluation, outsider evaluation and teacher's evaluation . The process of carrying out of the evaluation scheme has been divided into three stages. They are the stages of organizing and planning ,the stages of putting in practice and the stages of late dealing with. Combining many examples of the teaching in chemistry, we explained the steps and approach of the implementation in detail with the purpose of supplying a reference for chemistry teachers in middle school. This thesis also give some suggest on the analysis of problem and difficult in carrying out performance assessment.
