The Empirical Researches On Effectiveness Of Occupational Decision Of College Students

With the adjustment of economic structure, our country's higher education training system and employment system have had a great transform. During the past decades, the number of graduates has increased rapidly. Resulting in the problem of the employment difficulty among college students. It is important that the college students know how to make effective occupational decisions in the course of competitive and occupational changes. This research which adopted both method of questionnaire investigation and experiment tries to explore the relationship between the working satisfaction level and the factors of effecting the college students' occupational decision through investigating the college student's occupational value, occupational character orientation and job-seeking self-efficacy and comparing these three aspects between college students and enterprise employees, construct the data models of effective occupational decision and provide the demonstrative materials for the college students' occupational education and tutorship. The results are as follows:(1) Through the analysis and investigation of a base line, we discovered some factors, such as wage welfare, realization of self-value, requirement of society, and so on influenced college students occupational decision significantly. On this foundation, we developed "The investigative questionnaire of college student's occupational value". It has acceptable reliability and validity, and can be applied to the investigation and analysis of the college students' occupational value.(2) In the course of the making occupational decision, college students represent the features of principal consciousness selfhood of the occupational value and pay more attention to their actual needs; occupational character has represented relative stability in the different groups of college students; The gender and family background become the important factors to affect college students' occupational value, job-seeking self-efficacy, occupational character.(3)With the comparison on occupational mentality between college students and enterprise employees, there aren't significant differences in the overall evaluation of the occupational value and job-seeking self-efficacy, but there are significant differences in the different latitudes of occupational value andjob-seeking self-efficacy.(4) Through comparison between the college students' data and the enterprise employees' data, there is a same model can suit both groups. Moreover, another model will be better after changing the direct effect to the level of working satisfaction from occupational value and occupational character.(5) College students' awareness level of information is different in specific occupational decision settings; it was affected by the type and matching of information, the application of decision-making strategies and the possibility of accessibility. At the same time, college students' have different occupational decision behaviors because of the different awareness levels of information, but college students' occupational decision behavior weren't controlled completely by their awareness levels of information.
