| In recent years, with the increase of the number of fresh university graduates, the employment pressure of fresh university students is also increasing year by year. Therefore, how to reduce the employment pressure of college students and resolve its negative impact has been the focus of attention in various fields. Some studies have found that occupational gender stereotypes have negative effects on factors related to employment(such as career choice and career decision-making),but no previous studies have explored the relationship between occupational gender stereotypes and college students’ employment and its internal mechanism.According to the social cognition theory, the self-efficacy of career decision making is a very important mediating factor. The self-efficacy of career decision making will not only affect the factors related to career, but also be affected by the cognition of environmental obstacles such as discrimination and stereotype. However, related researches show that school community sense can better block the negative influence of negative factors and promote the positive influence of positive factors.Based on this, this study takes college students as the research object, and uses test method and questionnaire survey method to explore the influence of occupational gender stereotypes(implicit and explicit)on college students’ employment pressure, and tests the mediating role of career decision-making self-efficacy and the moderating role of school community. The results are as follows:(1)College students generally have strong occupational gender stereotypes at both the explicit and implicit levels, but there is no correlation between the two levels. The explicit occupational gender stereotype of male was significantly higher than that of female.(2)The employment pressure of college students is at a medium level, the employment pressure of female college students is significantly higher than that of male college students;Junior college students have the highest employment pressure compared with other grades. The employment pressure of students majoring in science and engineering is significantly higher than that of students majoring in literature and history.(3)There was no correlation between explicit occupational gender stereotypes and other variables. The main effect of implicit occupational gender stereotypes on college students’ employment pressure is not significant, and the implicit occupational gender stereotypes have a significant negative predictive effect on career decision-making self-efficacy.Career decision-making self-efficacy has a significant negative predictive effect on college students’ employment pressure;Career decision-making self-efficacy plays a partial mediating role in implicit job gender stereotypes and college students’ employment pressure.(4)School sense of community has a significant positive predictive effect on career decision-making self-efficacy,and has a significant negative predictive effect on the employment pressure of college students, among which the value of school sense of community of college students as student cadres is significantly higher than that of non-student cadres. The sense of belonging in the dimension of school community has a moderating effect on the two pathways of career decision-making self-efficacy and employment pressure of college students. In other words, school community can effectively block the negative effects of implicit career gender stereotypes. The implications of this study are discussed. |
