The Study On The Master's Professional Graduate Education And Derivation Strategy

(draft) mentions that the total number of master degree graduate would reach 1.2 million in year 2010, and will form a new structure that composed by varied type of cultivation mode of graduate education. This dissertation starts from the composing of the mode of cultivation for academic and professional master degree, and bases on the problems that faced by the development of master 's professional degree. And this dissertation holds a view that we should gradually adjust the cultivation structure through the use of 'derivation' strategy. There are five chapters in this dissertation.Chapter 1 is Introduction. In this chapter, writer generally introduces the reason of choosing topic, the purport of study, and summarizes the literature materials.In chapter2, the writer further perfects the meaning and the elements of the mode of cultivation. And on the basic of it, we compared the main difference between the mode of cultivation of the master's academic graduate education and the professional graduate education.In chapter3, this dissertation analyzes the political, economic, cultural and educational background of the development of the master's professional graduate education. In politics, the educational interest pursue of the advanced applied professional provides the necessary political environment for develop the education for the specialized postgraduate who holds master degree; In economy, the emerge of the knowledge-based economy provides the knowledge base for it, and upgrades the status of it; In culture, the development of such education need loose cultural atmosphere comparatively. In education, the coming of the popularizing of high education provides the historical background and base of the source of students for its reasonable orientation.In chapter4, from the dimension of quantity and quality, this dissertation examines the main problems, which exist in our country's professional graduate education of master degree. The mostly problems that exist in quantity are less of quantity and scale; the main problems that exist in quality obvious do not coincide in process and object of cultivation. And this dissertation briefly analyzes the reasons of such condition.In chapter5, on the basis of the problems analyzing in chapter 4, the write think it would be helpful for the development of the master's professional graduate education if use the 'derivation' strategy. The so called 'derivation' strategy refers to a innovative mode of cultivation that relies on the mode of master's academic graduate education, and through suitable adjustment and displacement of its elements to achieve the object of cultivate applied complexes professionals. Such strategy is a kind of gradual changing strategy from the bottom to top. This strategy is in favor of the expansion of quantity and the upgrade of quality at the initial stage of the development of the master's professional graduate education. At last, this dissertation tries to put forward the policy and measure which are necessary for the use of 'derivation' strategy.
