Research On The Coordinated Development Between The Construction Of Advanced Sports Teams In Colleges Nationwide And The Olympic Strategy

With the constant implement of the system of socialist market economy, the overall condition of our nation presents a promising momentum. However, the athletic sports in our nation implements the policy of "the whole nation pattern", of which the essence is giving play to socialist superiority of working by assembling strength, that is to say, displaying our international prestige and enhancing our overall athletic capability by centralizing the strength and thoughts from all over the nation. This politics-oriented product of the system of planned economy did play a glorious role in enhancing national spirit and promoting international communication in the particular period. With the beginning of the era of knowledge-based economy, the competitions of science and technology and talented persons have become the leading factor in enhancing the overall national strength. Gold medals are only the symbols of a nation's political and economic strength, while the health care and education situation of all the people of a nation is the radical motive for the nation's constant development. Obviously, gold medals' political value has been fading day by day. However, our present system of cultivation and operation for athletic talented people still implement the form in the planned economy, in which the national administrations highly centralize the power and entitle the concerned bureau to monopolizing the operation by direct administrative interference. This pattern including both operating and supervising does have difficulties in pushing sports towards socialization and industrialization, while it exposes its maladies such as low output with high input, emphasizing achievements while neglecting cultural education, the employment barrier facing retired athletes etc, which makes the policy of " the whole nation pattern" face new challenges in the period of social change and economic transition. Therefore, athletic sports should be adapted to suit the regulation of the current socialist market, which meets the demand of the market economy and the athletic sports' self-realization as well.The further implementation of "Combination of Sports and Cultural Education" is the very correct way of merging sports with the profound culture and the healthy humanism, which is the radical motive for the development of athletic sports. In 2003, the State Physical Culture Administration handed over the task of organizing the delegation for the World University Games to the Ministry of Education, which proclaimed that the strategic adjustment in the cultivation system of athletic talented persons would be on the way. Facing both opportunities and challenges, can China's athletic sports decide its own future. Can our colleges shoulder the responsibility of fostering athletic talented persons?The main purpose of this thesis is seeking suitable system of cultivation for athletic talented persons that conform to the socialist market regulation by observing the history of the colleges' advanced sports teams and referring to some successful forms from other athletic powers. Through a multi-subject angle of view, using varies kinds of methods including document observation, surveys with questionnaires, experts interviewing, Grey Prospect, statistics etc, the thesis observes the four stagesof the development of the colleges' advanced sports teams, compare and study its current situation both horizontally and vertically by analyzing the statistic results of the questionnaire and concerned match results with Grey GM(1,1) Remnant Difference Model-Setting Prospect, and then reveals the factors that limit its development and finally points some constructive suggestions for these colleges' advanced sports teams for the Olympic Strategy.
