Strengthening the realistic effectiveness is one of the core subjects in the "two courses" education of present colleges. It affects the ideological and political education of colleges can really take the important task of training the socialist constructors and successors that "face to the world, to the future, and to the modernization "or not. Therefore, if the "two courses" education of colleges can't make use of Marxist, Mao Tse-tung Thought, Deng Xiaoping's theories and the important thought of "three representatives," can't combine them with the demand of the present development, and can't solve the realistic problems we are facing with the combination of the theory and practice, its actual effectiveness will be certain to present a weakening trend, and lose its values and functions. On the August 26,2004, our State Council, in the file of Concerning the Opinions of Further Strengthening and Improving the University Students' Ideological and Political Education emphasizes that: "The ideological and political theory education for the college students must base on reality and strengthen its pertinence, substantial results and attractiveness, inspiration." Therefore, it is our educators' great mission in college to probe into the causes that result in the weakness of the "two courses" education and to give some measures of strengthening the realistic effectiveness of the "two courses" education.
