China is an ancient country with a history of 5,000 years of civilization.Since ancient times,there has been a fine tradition of respecting teachers and valuing their virtues.In traditional culture,teachers enjoy the supreme social status and authority.Teacher authority is a unique influence generated in the process of education based on the teacher's own personality charm,inner quality and teaching ability.This influence plays a positive role in the process of education,both for the growth of students and the development of teachers themselves.However,with the increasingly complex social relations nowadays,the authority of teachers shows a trend of constant weakening or even elimination,which puts them in an unprecedented awkward situation.Teachers'social status and self-image are also questioned and criticized to some extent.Under the background of this era,how to reshape and highlight teacher authority and make it play a positive role in the process of education and teaching has become an urgent problem to be solved in current educational theory and practice.This paper is a systematic and special study on the problem of teacher authority building.By taking D middle school of guilin city as the investigation object,this paper starts with the investigation of the current situation of teacher authority weakening,makes a preliminary analysis of the reasons for the weakening of teacher authority,and on this basis puts forward some countermeasures and Suggestions on how to rebuild teacher authority.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part,introduction,describes the research background and the reason of the topic selection,defines the relevant core concepts,gives a comprehensive review of the research situation at home and abroad,and puts forward the research ideas and methods of this paper.The second part,to the present situation of teacher authority weakening empirical research,mainly with the method of questionnaire and interview,in guilin D middle school for sample unit,investigates the present conditions of the current teacher authority weakening,respectively from the traditional teacher professional authority,knowledge authority,authority,institutional authority to inspire and social evaluation,illuminates the teacher authority increasingly weakened.In the third part,the author makes an in-depth analysis of the reasons for the weakening of teacher authority.The author believes that these reasons are mainly reflected in the subjective aspects of teachers themselves,the levels of students and parents,social environment,policies and systems,and finds out various factors affecting the weakening of teacher authority through attribution analysis.The fourth part,on the basis of the previous status quo investigation and reason analysis,puts forward effective ways to reshape and carry forward teachers' authority,and puts forward reasonable countermeasures and Suggestions mainly from the three directions of teachers themselves,social environment and policies and regulations.
