On Writing Teaching Specific To Children In Primary Schools

Influenced by the traditional teaching-for-examination mode, also affected by the old outlook on children and education, there appears a tendency to adultify our primary school pupils' composition teaching. On one side, this tendency does severe harm to the primary school pupils' interest in composition, leads to low efficiency and loss of children's characteristics; on the other side; it affects the forming of children's personality and a healthy development of children's body and mind.This paper gives a detailed analysis of the display of the loss of children's characteristics and its reasons. After a study of the possibility of childifying our primary school pupils' composition, this paper advances some basic ways and our practical strategy. The basic ways include: to presuppose children's independent thought, to base on children's personal experience, to standardize children's language, to guarantee children's reading. The practical strategy is to childify all the composition's requirements, its scene, its content, its form and its final evaluation alike.Adultifying our primary school pulils' composition teaching results from an ignorance of the characteristics of primary school pupils' body and mind in their age, form an ignorance of the primary school pulils' cognitive law and psychological law, and thus violates teaching principles.The soul of primary school pupils' composition is to be like children's, our primary school pupils' composition teaching should develop and idea of "base on schoolchildren" and "for schoolchildren's development". We should devote ourselves to lead children to observe the world by themselves, to think by themselves, to describe their own life with their own language. Then we can lead them back to the children's paradise and to a healthy and harmonious development body and mind.
