On Surpassing The Traditional Platform And Reforming The Teaching Of Chinese

After a survey and reconsideration of the educational present situation and process, people find that while society is developing continuously, the talents cultivated by the platform teaching are unable to meet the needs of the social development, making its defections increasingly noticeable. In the traditional teaching, contents of the textbooks' are outdated, the teaching process stiff, the teaching methods backward and the evaluation of teaching unreasonable. One of the main reasons for this phenomenon is that the above- mentioned five aspects merely facilitate "the teaching" party in the platform teaching, leaving no or very little room for "the studying" party. In other words, the weaknesses and defections of the traditional teaching lie in the platform teaching, or to be more exact, they lie in the platform. The fatal weakness of the platform teaching is that the harmony of the group restricts the overall development of the individuality. Consequently, the thesis maintains that the teaching of Chinese should surpass the platform so as to innovate. The thesis is divided into five chapters to discuss the problem.Firstly, after discussing the derivation of the platform and its essence, the thesis maintains that the platform first appeared with the form of class schooling merely as a teaching facility and that in the historical course it developed into a symbol of domination and manipulation, thus becoming something owned exclusively and arbitrarily by the teacher.Secondly, the thesis explores the characteristics of the traditional platform teaching and its harm to the teaching of Chinese. The traditional platform teaching is mainly characterized by the following aspects: oneness, authority, unilateralism, passivity, inefficiency and utilitarianism.
