A Perspective On The Developing Of The Individual Businesssmen In Rural Society From Social Capital Theory

On the issue of social transformation, any extant research perspective and analytical methods hasn't overcome completely the typical difficulty in sociology that how to organically link individual with entirety and microcosm with macrocosm. Besides illustrating the diversity of microcosmic phenomena, the concept and theory on Social Capital contribute to the transcending from microcosm to macrocosm without elaborating the corresponding social structure. And the theory also assumes a new analytical framework for the research in action, relationship and construction of the society. From this perspective, the thesis, based on substantial positive survey into Chi qiao Village in the southern skirt of Tai Yuan, one of the seven Chinese settlements established for a Sino-European project on Sustainability, aims at revealing the operating principles of individual businessmen's development during the process of present social transformation and urbanization. Sociologically seeing through the operating state and efficacy in the social capital of relationship, organization and norm under the control of businessmen engaging in transportation who are participants and forerunners in the process of development and urbanization of Chi qiao, the thesis pursues the positive knowledge and research on rural social capital.
