In 1990's , "happy education" a new pattern of education, which accorded with the law of education, the specific condition of our country as well as the characteristic of children's age, psychology and knowledge development, has sprung up vigorously. At present, "happy teaching" is extensively employed in various disciplines with remarkable results. However, in children's vocal music, much has to be done to in this regard.The author believes that the teaching of children's vocal music shall proceed from the enhancement of happiness so as to bring about an effective and sustained development.According to the state's "Guideline on Kindergarten Education(trial)" ( hereinafter referred to as Guideline) and "Standard on Music Course( test draft)" (hereinafter referred to as Standard), the author has analyzed the current study on happy teaching and the relevant theories in the fields like pedagogy, psychology and musicology. By using the methods of comparative research, investigation, observation, induction and document analysis, together with personal teaching experience and practice, the author probes into the happy teaching in children's vocal music and attempts to restructure the teaching of children's vocal music via various perspectives.This thesis consists of an introduction and four chapters. Introduction is a summary on the background in the selection of the topic, current study on the topic and research methods. Chapter One expounds the significance of state's requirement to children's vocal music education by a thorough interpretation of the "Guideline" and "Standard". Chapter Two elaborates the enlightments from "happy education" and "art education in an ecological manner". Chapter Three falls into three parts: 1) education shall follow the development law of children's psychology; 2) education shall understand the psychological features of children in learning of vocal music; 3)the psychology basis of happy teaching in vocal music. Based on the above-mentioned research, the author probes into the restructure on happy teaching in children's vocal music education. Proceeding from the re-understanding on the purpose of children's vocal music education, and suggests that happy teaching may include aspects like emotion, language, environment and posture as well as the new requirement on teachers of children's vocal music.
