To vitalize a nation is education, and to vitalize education is the teacher. It gets clearer and clearer that the key of international competition is the competition of the teachers' professional level as people's cognition goes on. Educational courses in teachers' colleges are the main channels to construct the potential teachers' understanding of educational science. However, educational courses, which are in teachers' colleges of our country, present inefficiency in practice and parochialism in theory. The development of educational courses in teachers' colleges, which is the core of teacher training, is a practical and urgent problem in the context of teacher education openization , teacher education integration and transition from teachers' colleges to comprehensive universities. Therefore, in this paper, current situation of educational courses in teachers' colleges is firstly analyzed, problems are found out and deep-seated causes are excavated. Then the idea of educational courses reform is reestablished, and the nature and object of educational courses are reorientated. Finally reform solution about provision, implementation and evaluation of educational courses is endeavored to explore.This paper is made up of five parts.Part one is the introduction, which presents the background, scope and frame of this research.Part two analyzes the current situation of educational courses in contemporary teachers' colleges. Firstly, some problems of educational courses in contemporary teachers' colleges are summarized including provision, implementation and evaluation. Secondly, three main causes, i.e. they are direct guidance of national policy, negative influence about location of teachers' colleges nature, and deep influence of scientism and technological logos in modern society, are found out.Part three is the basis theory of educational courses reform in teachers' colleges. This part is a connecting link between the preceding and the following,because on the one hand, to reestablish the idea of educational courses reform and to reorientate the nature and object of educational courses are based on the third part content, and on the other hand it is the theoretic basis of concrete reform measures in part five. The main content of this part is that guided by post-modernism theory, educational courses are endued with special nature and their objects are to help teachers' colleges students gear to emotion, action andability of teacher vocational role.iPart four proposes some solutions to educational courses reform in teachers' colleges, which consist of provision, implementation and evaluation. According to the provision of educational courses, this paper puts forward the directive guideline that is to be propitious to elementary education, the principles of practicality, system, continuity and ages, and constructs the structure and content. On the implementation of educational courses, renewing the notion of educational courses administration, establishing the institution of educational courses administration, enhancing overall teachers' qualities and choosing flexibly teaching methods are the main ideas". About the evaluation of educational courses, some measures are as follows: making clear the objective of educational courses evaluation, standardizing examination system, adopting whole-process, overall personnel and full aspects evaluation, and developing metaevaluation of educational courses evaluation.Part five is the epilogue. The systematic perspective is the substance to attain educational courses reform. At the same time, the pity of this search is spread out.
