| With the more and more thorough practice of reform and opening, the establishment of socialist economic system and the pluralistic changes of price concept, patriotism is avianizing in people' s minds and the education of patriotism tends to be sloganized. It' s both an important question in moral education and a main aspect in the minors' ideology and morality construction, which were repeatedly emphasized by the central government. To conduct wide-range and thorough patriotic education among pupils, pupils are at the vital stage of physical and mental growth, and the critical period of ideology, morality, and value concept formation, we should cultivate the idea of patriotism in their tiny minds, stick to encourage them to rouse themselves and become a useful person, which is of significance to push the quality education forward.This thesis observed and analyzed the present situation of pupils' patriotism education in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, discussing several problems in the process of enforcing patriotism education in primary schools. The author studied the necessity to strengthen patriotism education from the aspects of times challenge, national spirit cultivation, the needs of quality education and pupils' growth.From the angle of new course standards, the author did deep analysis and study on the new requirements exerted on primary schools' patriotism education, The characteristics of both pupils' ideology and morality development and patriotic traits formation. Following the direction of there theories, the author summarized some principles: times principle, entirety principle, capability principle, practice principle and modeling principle from the practical situation, the author proposed countermeasures to pupils' patriotism education from the four aspects: integrating content, understanding patriotism, optimizing methods,stimulating patriotic behavior, doing from unimportant things and building patriotic atmosphere.
