| It is a newer subject in recent research of maths teaching to put forward the research on the students ' ability of asking questions. Pay attention to combining the theory with the teaching practice, using the methods of the researching on the documents and statistics, surveying through questionnaire, comparing and doing research on the students ' behavior, the author discusses about the relationship between the students ' ability of putting forward questions and something about that. Then he does some research on the ways of cultivating the students ' ability through teaching.The aim of quality-oriented education is to cultivate the students of their iniative spirit and practice ability in their creative study, which is helpful to improve the students ' ability of solving problems and important for students to lean indepently and the life-long study. But the reality is not optimistie: the students have little consciousness and bad ability of posing problems.In heriting Polya ' s mathematics thoughts and putting it into use, the author does some research on the students ' through questionnaire by teaching.After experiments, he finds that:l.The distance between the ability of students from experimenting class and controlling class. After a semester ' s comparatire research, the experimenting class taught with Polya ' s thoughts performed better than the controlling class in putting forward questions.2. There is remarkable relationship between the students achievement and ability of posing problems.3.There is remarkable relationship between students ' genders and their ability. Boys have better ability than girls in posing problems.4. Being familiar with the situation of the questions is helpful in putting forward questions.The author thinks that cultivating the students of their ability of putting forward questions and using the methods of analyzing wrong examples, we can promote the students ' ability by perfecting their CPFS structure and their meta cognitire thinking.
