The Birth Of Information Technology Curriculum

By studying the case of information technology curriculum, this research uses police content analysis and life history analysis to study two major topics. First, it investigates the process that how knowledge becomes a subject of the school curriculum system. Secondly, it explores the factors that contribute to the process. This study focuses on the development process of a school curriculum and tries to add a section to the curriculum development history.Based on the new historical theory, it provides a new perspective for studying history events. Also, this study takes school curriculum as a history event and consequently school curriculum becomes one of the foci of social history research. The approach of studying school curriculum from a history perspective is being emphasized more and more after a long time of being buried. By taking a history perspective, the study provides more insights into the school curriculum system.This study is divided into two sections. In the first section, it analyses the power factors and their roles in the development process of the information technology curriculum. The study focuses on the power factors of politics , economy and ideology and how they affect the development process of information technology curriculum. In the second section, the study investigates how the curriculum is applied by school teachers by analyzing teachers' life history.Based on research of case, The study finally summarizes pattern of curriculum development. The process includes the three development stages that the school curriculum goes through. They are stage of police propostion, identifying of local government and schools and construction in the class.
