It is a tough problem for teaching staff that there is the shortage of emotional communication caused by the separation of teachers and learners in online Learning environment. So reinforcing and improving the emotional communication of online Learning environment is very essential. How to develop a learning environment in which the teachers are close to the students and the feeling concerns are implied by breaking through the limitation of "distance", which will become a challenge of curricular design. Arising from the importance of emotional communication in education, the thesis explored comprehensively the performance and origin of the shortage of emotional communication in current online learning environment by comparing traditional learning environment with online learning one. Furthermore, the online learning environment was analyzed rationally. On this base, according to the theory of distance reciprocal classification, this thesis provided some strategy for the distance emotional learning environment's design with regard to curricular contents, instructors, students and community.
