Since the entry of the 20th century, there has always had an inclination of ignoring the human value and ethics in the science education of western higher education. The science education has put such an undue emphasis on the importance of the studying of scientific and technical knowledge that it has resulted to all sorts of educational and social problems. The utilitarianism value orientation of the science education is being queried and censured. It is just under such kind of background that produced the educational thought of Ashby's technological humanism. The educational thought of Ashby's Technological humanism evolved from the end of 1960s. In order to foster a person with integrated and healthy personality, it must alleviate the distortion of the human nature caused by the scientific technical development by the means of infiltrating humane spirit into the science education. That's the aim of Ashby's educational thought of technological humanism. The essence of Ashby's technological humanism thought lies in the understanding of the " integrality " of science and technology, which proposes a course mode of "core radiation" infiltrating humane spirit into science education. Such course mode regards student's major as the core to radiate outwards by offering the student with some courses" closely linked" humane social sciences. Ashby's technological humanism educational thought makes every effort to infiltrate humane knowledge into science education really to make " intellectual systems " communicate with " human systems ". Thus comes the unify of " truth 's seeking" and " goodness' purchasing".
