There were many studies on the teachers'identity. Generally speaking, teachers' identity was one harmonious conception between inner performance and outer identity. Inner performance was inborn or acquired. It was the multiple quality which includes a teacher's temperament, character,morality,wisdom,intelligence,culture cultivation,ability and academic skills in specific field. Outer identity was the internal quality which was performed through the external show such as speech and deportment,appearance and dress as well.This research wais to discuss the teachers'identity in Sichuan International Studies University.By based on some related studies and the non-construction investigation,we composed the questionaire of the teachers' identity of Sichuan International Studies University, including the ones for the teachers and students in this university and the public as well.Through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of the data collected from the structured questionaire surveys,the structure of the teachers' identity was developed. After the examination of reliability and validity of the inventory, it was used as a measure to explore the characteristics of the teachers'identity.The results indicated as folio wings:(l)Teachers'identity,a structure including many components, could be divided into three dimensions-MI,BI and VI.The dimension of BI included three factors:flexible pattern,influential statements and actions, development pursue as well.(2)The teachers' identity questionaire developed in the study, which was applicable to Sichuan International Studies University,was an instrument with good reliability and validity.(3)According to the questionaire for the inner teacher in this university, significant age and position difference were found ,but there are no significant difference on the factors of gender and educational background.(4)According to the students questionnaire in Sichuan International Studies University, significant gender,grade difference were found ,but there is no significant difference on the factor of educational background.
