Nowadays, cultural globalization is advancing. Students of high schools today get lost in the tide of globalization. They can neither inherit reasonable composition from our traditional culture nor absorb practical nutrition from foreign culture, so that they fail to have a sober self-consciousness of culture in their pursuit for culture, which is not only the result of history but also of present. High school Chinese teaching has the responsibility to help students form their self-consciousness of culture. In teaching, we should use carious ways, such as in class teaching, out class activities, researching study, combining with English, and so on. To strengthen Chinese traditional cultural education and help students understand the differences between Chinese culture and foreign culture with an open mind, which can help students form a scientific and objective judge on culture, thus making sober choices and forming sober self-consciousness of culture Furthermore, we must encourage students to absorb all excellent cultural factors from every nation, to exchange minds in communication, and then form new and modern culture, and urge them to be determined to make contributions to developing human's culture and our national culture.
