Inquiry teaching refers to a teaching model in which students, guided by teachers, acquire knowledge in the same way that scientists make researches. Inquiry teaching not only helps students achieve knowledge and skills, but fosters students' emotion, attitude and value. Put inquiry teaching into senior physics teaching surroundings will give physics teaching reform a new sight and expand the understanding of the physics curriculum development.The research is intended to supply theories and positive evidence of the introduction of the inquiry teaching model to junior high school students' physics learning and also supply theories and practical reference to the spread of the inquiry teaching. It fell into three parts. Part one examined through questions the students in No.42 high school about the process of physics learning; Part two put forward to a inquiry teaching model which is fit for the selected students.
