The Development And Exploitation Of English Web Course Resources In Elementary Education

With the development of the reforms on elementary education courses in China, the importance of course resources in primary and middle schools is constantly unfolded. English web course resources have become one of the most important parts in English course resources during elementary education period. A variety of mass media resources on internet and websites set up for English teaching service provide the English learners in different levels with abundant resources. Furthermore, computer and internet technology make the individual and independent learning possible, via which the students can select contents and way of learning according to their own needs. What is more, the alternant function of computer and web resources make it possible for students to obtain timely feedbacks or study cooperatively. Based on two years' practice of elective course on web English in senior middle school, with a reference to various types of literature, this thesis proposes a preliminary study on the development and exploitation of English web course resources.The first chapter introduces the definition of course resources and their classification in accordance with the origin, characters, physical characteristics, way of existence and function of course resources.The second chapter analyzes the significance of developing and exploiting English web course resources from the aspects of its contribution to the renew of teaching ideas, the fulfillment of teaching aims, and the cultivation of humanism spirit.The third chapter enumerates different approaches of developing and exploiting English web course resources, such...
