’To exploit curriculum resources and develop learning and using channels" is a new question to be exploited in English curriculum reform in our national basic education. The exploitation and utilization of English curriculum resources are not only an important part in English curriculum implementation, but also play a very important part in realizing English curriculum goals. But for a long time, elementary and secondary school curriculum adopts centralized and unified curriculum developing modes, much attention has not paid to those curriculum and corresponding curriculum resources to be developed according to the school its own characteristics. Besides, lots of English teachers lack curriculum resources awareness and lack corresponding exploiting abilities. They have been accustomed to regarding English textbook as exclusive curriculum resources, which has led to the singleness of curriculum resources. Moreover. Teachers would like to use text and material resources in favor of knowledge mastery, neglecting activity resources and subject integrated resources in favor of cultivating language-using ability and comprehensive integrations. Thus, it is of important and practical significance to execute theoretical discussion and practical exploration in the English curriculum resources in sense of English curriculum reform in our national basic education.According to the background of current new curriculum reform, this paper attempts to summarize all kind of theories on English curriculum resources and put forward theory structure of English curriculum resources. By investigating the actuality of the exploitation and utilization of English curriculum resources in some senior high schools in Zhejiang Province, this paper has made a deep analysis of some problems in the exploitation and utilization of English curriculum resources in basic education curriculum reform and put forward constructive counlenneasures, in which the author attempts to provide suggestions which are supposed to guide English curriculum construction at senior high school. The paper is divided into four chapters altogether. Chapter one puts forward the background and meaning of the study on curriculum resources, pointing out the exploitation and utilization of English curriculum resources is not only a need of new curriculum reform but also an important guarantee of realizing the English curriculum goalsChapter two is based on the theory study of curriculum resources, defining the concept and classification of English curriculum resources. English curriculum resources is summation of the human resources, material resources, activity resources, in order to realize English curriculum goal, cultivate and develop the students’ integrated language-using ability. It has characteristic of conditional, open, diversity and creation.Chapter three focuses on analyzing the actuality and problems of English curriculum resources exploitation in senior high school through investigation and interviews. The major problems are usually as follows: English teachers lack curriculum resources consciousness, student resources haven’t been paid much attention to in the practice, English curriculum resources structure inclining to singleness, worry and satisfaction in the combination of English curriculum and modern education skills, English curriculum resources lack diversifying integration, English curriculum resources is extremely short of activity resources.Chapter four puts forward some constructive countermeasures according to those problems of the English curriculum resources exploitation, advising teachers to promote curriculum exploitation consciousness and exploitation ability; to pay much attention to exploit and utilize students resources; extend English curriculum resources structure; strengthen integration between English curriculum resources and other subjects, daily life, network information resources; exploit activity resources; set up curriculum resources guarantee system.
