Inquiry learning, is a sort of study mode that students take the way of research to acquire the knowledge and apply the knowledge under the instruction of teachers. As a sort of study mode, study mode is different from "accepting study" and "discovering study", an effective way of "enhancing the education reforming" and "promoting fully character education" instead. The research-oriented model, as an educational concept, instruction strategy and approach, applies to most studies and can be found during the process of students' studies.The emergence and development of inquiry learning have its deep root of times. With the illumination of development of inquiry learning domestically and internationally, the exploration and practice on inquiry learning has their significance in the field of education. Both domestic and international researches have showed that teacher's guiding students to do inquiry learning is one of effective modes for Life Science study.The quality education in vocational education, that is, ability education which pursues the existence and development, is an importance thought in a modern vocational education .The vocational school not only guides the student control the well-trained occupation technical ability, but even guides the student to change traditional study method, learn to study and have the ability of renewal knowledge and technician. Teaching method and teaching mode in the traditional vocational education have not adapted to the demand of the ages. It is an urgent matter of the moment to find some ways to cultivate students who have comprehensive ability. Inquiry learning is to put forth effort in study method ,to have the general aim of "learning to study" which is an important method of improving the workers' characters. Therefore, the vocational education is urgently demanding to be led in the research studies.In recent years, inquiry learning have caused to value in primary and junior high school, but it is neglected in vocational education. Vocational education is for the sake of society development, adjust gradually perfect in work of the society cent. It then educates the students' special technical ability for foundation. Compare with the foundation education of primary and junior high school, it even makes a point of educating the students begin the ability physically and the ability adapt to the society, emphasizing the combination of learning and using, regarding learning as the means, regarding using as the target, is a kind of education which function is very strong. Inquiry learning is more valuable in the vocational school, it may let students study around solving actual problems. Therefore, it is more valuable for the vocational school to open inquiry learning.I have opened inquiry theory in 《microbiology》 in vocational school according to some theories knowledge and the fulfillment of the others in the teaching of the vocational school. I think, vocational schools have advantages for inquiry learning, and contains its special value in cultivating talented person. The teachers in vocational school should change idea, insisting on opening the research study, studying in problem, studying in fulfillment experience personally, promoting the students to change the method of study, learn to study, learn to practice. Moreover, evaluation of the inquiry learning to the student and management of the process in inquiry learning in vocational schools still need further research and study.
