The reform of new base education advocates research learning. As an important part of the whole system the evaluation of research learning is always been extensive attentioned. And student evaluation is the most fundamental part of it. Theory research: Student evaluation of research learning which is established on the new concept of education evaluation should identify and lead and promote student development. Therefor it advocates to implement multi-dimension evaluation mode during the student evaluation of research learning. Practice research: the experiments on the student evaluation of research learning in senior biology teaching should establish the evaluation contents at first. Then it created the evaluation process to promote students development. The first, during the different stage of research learning, it proceeded student evaluation from team and individual by evaluation quantity tables. Especially the individual evaluation quantity table was established on the standard of evaluation from attitude and behavior, division and cooperate with the others, results, gains. Basing on these it produced the corresponding individual evaluation grade. The second, it proceeded qualitative evaluation follow this procession: evaluating by oneself, evaluating in the team, evaluating by teacher and evaluating by cooperation. The third, students portfolio assessment is an efficient evaluation mode of integrating quantitative and qualitative evaluation. After experiments, all the students begin to know the common process of research learning and master some methods for biology research. It cultivates students to take pleasure in exploring and to be practical and realistic of scientific attitude and emotion. Furthermore, it promotes students to be interested in science research. Besides, it promotes students the capability of discovering and raising and solving the question when they synthetically apply the knowledge and skill of biology in their social practice. The same are the capability of the operation of association with other people. Experiments prove: when we insist the evaluation thoughts "on the principle of student development" , the first, we should be concerned to development of students had already gained and are gaining and will gain. the second, the bestirring function of student evaluation should be embodied from the way of evaluation and feedback of the results and so on.
