"Happiness",which is a word makes people feel well.There is no exception that everyone pursues happiness,no matter what means they used.Also "Happiness" makes people feel mysterious, different people have different understandings.At all times and in all over the world,there are so many ideologists have pondered for happiness and pursued the significance.From Chinese history of Taoism and Confucianism to the occidental history of emotionalism,rationalism,religious doctrine and utilitarianism,even the inodern Marxist thought of happiness,all these have indicated the diversity of connotation and hardship of exploration for road to happiness.However,it does not affect the passion of pursuing happiness of the people.It can be said that,pursuing happiness is an eternal subject of life.It is the expression of ultimate value of human beings,but also the reflection of searching for real life.Education,as an activity of bringing up people,more important that,is an activity of promotion of happiness as pursuit of their own value.It is the mission that is unable to extricate from education, therefore,education involving students' happiness becomes an obligatory meaning.From the direction of ultimate concern,pursuing happiness is the ultimate object of education.From the direction of actual concern,the educational process should be the course of students experience happiness.And both are intrinsic unification.However,under the influence of utilitarian thinking,in our practical education,school education became institutionalized.Teachers put students into the institutionalized barriers,education was filled with control and being controlled,under this control, students' personality had annihilated,demonstrated the unity of rationality required,in the end,they lose their happiness,and all the things deviate far away from the original intention of education. Therefore,we need reconstruct education that enables students to happiness from the dimension of education ultimate object and happy educational process.This paper is mainly divided into four parts as following:The first part,primarily explains the connotations of happiness.Firstly,carding different standpoints of happiness in the history,From Chinese history,analyze the happiness thought of Taoism and Confucianism,from the occidental history,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of thought of happiness.By carding these,it can be drawn the connotation of happiness.It elaborates happiness is the subject and object of a unified,on this basis,analyze three properties of subjectivity and objectivity,authenticity and illusory,relativity and absoluteness.The second part,mainly explains the causes for education involving students' happiness.Firstly, it brings forward two dimensions of the value concern from the question of "whom human being is". The ultimate concern cares for the essence of human existence while the actual concern cares for the manner of human existence,and both are intrinsic unification.Then analyze the reasons for students' happiness from the direction of value concern.It explains the connotations of students' happiness before the reasons brought forward.There are two reasons for education involving happiness. First,from the dimension of ultimate concern,education involving students' happines should be the ultimate object of education.The educational ultimate concern is in the pursuit of happiness.Second, from the dimension of actual concern,educational process should be the course of students experience happiness.The third part,mainly explains the educational phenomena for lacking of the value concern. However,under the influence of utilitarian thinking,expanded utilitarian rationality and atrophied value rationality change the essence of education in a certain extent.All the things deviate far away from the original intention of education.This is reflected on the loss of the significance of human to students.That is said,students' life could be ignored.It points out these phenomena:physical requirements can not be satisfied well,the individual rights and dignity of students are infringed,the personal character lost and living away from education.The fourth part,mainly analyze the measures of education involving happiness.From the dimension of ultimate concern,education should lay a foundation on students' happiness for life. Education should be appropriate to meet students' basic needs,treasure their personality,cultivate their happy ability and carry out the meaning of life for guidance to students.From the dimension of actual concern,education ought to do something for students' lifetime happiness.It should construct the all-round development of educational content,advocate humanistic educational means,shape new-style teacher-student relations that make them co-create and co-share happiness.
