The concern of teachers of students is a very significant stage in the growth of the major of teachers, which is an important indicator of the teachers’ transform from a teacher to a lifelong mentor. About the concern of teachers over students, scholars at home and abroad have done large amounts of related researches, which are based on the researches of Fuller and Hall. However, these researches are just the ones that put the concerns of teachers over students into the whole growth stage or the process of education reform instead of carrying out a separate research on this stage that teachers pay attention to students. So there is no clear conclusion on which aspects teachers should pay attention to students. Besides, what attention teachers pay to students is different, which will inevitably result in the difference of the efforts they put. Studying the structure of the concerns of teachers for students can enable teachers to know themselves and then to make changes. In the meantime, it can also provide a new foundation for teachers’training and the examination of the result of the new curriculum reform. Consequently, it is a job of great meaningfulness to study the concern of teachers for students.This research is to study the concerns of teachers for students, which sees the concerns of teachers as the theoretical model and treats concerning students as the breakthrough point. It sets the teachers in the primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang province as the research object. The first stage is to conduct interviews and open-ended questionnaires to collect what attention teachers in the primary and secondary schools pay to students, and then puts the contents as the items of the questionnaire,。The second stage is to invite subject specialists, related scholars and teachers to assess items, modify and delete inappropriate items to form a forecasting questionnaire. Again, the next stage is to test with the forecasting questionnaire, do item analysis and exploratory factor analysis of the results, and determine the dimensions and items of the questionnaire. The last stage is to verify the questionnaire structure through the confirmatory factor analysis, test the reliability and validity, and ultimately form a formal questionnaire. According to the formative questionnaire, this research does tests to understand the current situation of the concerns of the teachers in primary and middle schools over students.The results of the study are as follows:1.The formation of "the questionnaire of the concerns of the teachers in primary and middle schools over students". The questionnaire consists of 16 items, which is divided into four dimensions, respectively the daily learning, ability development, family status and behavior safety. With a clear structure and a good reliability and validity, and in line with the psychometric standards, it can be used to measure the concerns of the teachers in primary and middle schools for students.2. The overall situation of the concerns of the teachers in primary and middle schools for students is relatively good; The concerning degree of female teachers for students is higher than that of male teachers; The concerning degree of primary teachers for students is higher than that of teachers in junior middle school and high school; On the concerns for students, teachers with the teaching age of 16-20 years or above 25 years come to the top, significantly higher than those with the teaching age of 1-5 years; The concerning degree of teachers with high professional titles for students is obviously higher than that of teachers with the junior and intermediate titles, and the difference between the junior title and the intermediate title is not remarkable; The concerning degree of Chinese teachers for students is the highest, significantly higher than that of mental health teacher, English teacher, teachers of liberal arts and teachers of quality types. Teachers of liberal arts and teachers of quality types is the lowest, compared with teachers of other subjects.
