This paper is based on the new Standard of English Curriculum (experimental manuscript) foundational educational concept : advocating Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT)model, the learners with the guide of the teacher, through the ways of touching, experience, practice, participating and collaborating, realize the goal of the task, taste the sense of success. To make the students adjust the strategies and affect in the course of TBLT learning, to form the positive study attitude, to enhance the language practical using competence. The employment of TBLT in junior middle school is good for inspiring and fostering the interest in learning English, forming a good habit of learning and developing effective learning strategies, enhancing learning autonomy and cooperative spirit.  According to the new Standard of English Curriculum and the theory of task-based language teaching, the writer decided to apply the "task-based approach" to help the learners form and improve the learning autonomy. The whole article is divided into five parts:  1. The writer gives an account of the reasons why this research was done and points out the necessity and validity of carrying out the present research. 2. The rational about "task-based approach" relative to the present research is stated. 3. Focus on the course of the present study. The writer introduces the factors of the experiment, including the aim, the material, the procedure and the analyses of the results. 4. It describes the ways of how to carry out the approach in communicative English teaching as well as some suggestions.  5. The writer concludes the research and gives some more advice.
