The conception of function had been introduced into mathematics along with variable discussion and becomes one of the most important conception of mathematics. The conception of function have been developed by numerous mathematicians using the knowledges from geometry, algebra, correspondence, and assemble in the last three hundred years. The conception of function has significant contribution to the whole mathematical development. About the methematics at high school, function is very important and is the "core" mathematical but is very difficult to understand. In order to find a solution to this problem, some research and investigation have been done in this paper in the areas of the arrangement of function course, the cognitive ability of students to learn function, and the teaching of function. Examination papers have been analyzed, try to find out if the students understand or not. I introduced my function teaching ideas and the way how to help students to learn and understand the conception of function through analyse my teaching materials in this paper. I used applied function as a example to show how to teach students to build a mathematical model dependent on their function knowledge and solve the actual problem.Finally, combine modern information technology and new course reform, I used trigonometric function and exponential function as examples to show how to teach function in an information environment.
