The newly promulgated the Criteria for Chemistry Class (experimental edition) takes scientific inquiry as a breakthrough of curriculum reform and an important and effective learning means. Therefore, how to improve students' inquiry abilities and foster their inquiry interests becomes of great importance in the reform. Obviously, teachers of chemistry will have to reshape their teaching conceptions when the traditional and newly-edited textbooks are both used, get to understand the essence of inquiry learning and conduct teaching activities with the help of the textbooks in use, which is really significant.Based on previous studies in this field, this thesis makes an analysis of the basic connotation, features, and main types of inquiry learning and at the same time conducts appropriate inquiry teaching and learning activities in the task-based teachings of concept class, experiment class, review class, basic calculation class and information-tech integration class with reference to the features of chemistry discipline .My one-year long practice demonstrates that the achievement is great in that both teachers and students are active and confident in class.
