A Study On Quality Of Life Of The Disadvantaged Groups Family In Wuhan

The disadvantaged groups are the outcome of resource allocating & opportunity unjustness, as well as the notable character of disharmonious social structure. The growing number of the disadvantaged groups leads to more and more social problems which have become the obstacles of social development, which in turn make the disadvantaged groups' living condition become a focus to our society. The government has made enhancement of the disadvantaged groups' living quality the main task, besides that, academe set out research on the groups living quality. Considering all the production on living quality, research taking the disadvantaged groups as a whole is neglect, which is the main point of this work. This paper studies the material life, family and marriage, leisure life and social contact of the disadvantaged groups through the investigation of laid-off and peasant workers in Wuhan. Both subjective and objective indices are employed in this study to get a comprehensive research.The outline of the paper is as follows.:In chapter one, I briefly introduce the aim, significance and innovation of this work, present the proceeding of the relative research. Then I explain the method I employed and give a description of the sample.The detailed living condition of the disadvantaged groups is given in chapter tow. Living condition here refers to salary, consumption, house and family installation. After surveying the relative information of the disadvantaged groups, I compare them with which in common families and analyze with them the factors which may affect the satisfaction of the material life.In chapter third, I explore the family relationship and marriage quality of the disadvantaged groups. The possible reason that arouses the conflict in the family relationship is pointed out in the first place. Then marriage quality is evaluated by the analysis of communication and coordination of husband and wife. At last all factors which impact the satisfaction of marriage are detailed studied.In chapter four, I analyze the quality of leisure life. By investigation of family member's working duration and activities in leisure time, I rate the level the quality of leisure life in the disadvantaged groups' family. Then outline the effective factors of the satisfaction of leisure life.The subject of chapter five is about social contact and social resource of the disadvantaged groups. By judging the disadvantaged groups' social nets constituted by relatives, neighbors and friends, I appraise the quality of their nets. Then the effective factors of the satisfaction of social interaction and social resource are explained.Chapter six is the last part to draw conclusion. After measuring the degree of satisfaction to living quality and analyzing factors affect them, I put forward the main problems lie in the disadvantaged groups' current life and the reason why their living quality is hard to enhance.
