While education of becoming a useful person means the course that, according to the request of society, and basic principle of pedagogy and basic law that talents grow up, educators take certain methods and measures to cultivate university students of certain rudimentary knowledge and cultural appreciation ("potential talents") to become useful persons who possess certain skills and specialties in a certain field (" noticeable talents"), through certain ways and measures.In the discuss, this article especially emphasize that becoming a useful person is not only a good desire and bright pursuit, but also a process that needs people swear not be yield, make unremitting pursuance and struggle hard. It also has pointed out the necessity of strengthening education of university student to become useful persons during this course. The second part of the article has mainly explained the content of education of university students to become useful persons and its relation with university students to become useful persons. From the strategic height of development of high educational undertaking of our country and cultivation of high-level talents, it has attached importance to analyze the problems existing in the education of university students to become useful persons and the basic reasons causing these problems.This article has summed up and summarized the problems of five aspects about current education university students of our country to become useful persons. And then, under such a background, it has put forward a series of ways and methods for strengthening and improving education of university students to become useful persons pointedly, and has deeply expounded it from such aspects as the way of classroom instruction, social practice, student's organizational activities, extracurricular academic group and research activities, as well as individualized education etc.. Moreover, it has creatively proposed some methods of education of becoming a useful person such as goal encouragement, guide education, progressive education, appreciate education, practice to enter, group to lead in, and so on.
