In the era of highly increasing economy, colleges and universities are becoming more and more competitive. In response to the constant changing of the marketing environment, to cultivate innovative talents with relatively high practical ability is of great necessity, which accords with the talent training mode of universities and should be based on three levels — research-practice-innovation. With the development of popularization of higher education in China, talents from colleges and universities may find it difficult to adapt the requirements of social reform. Thus, college student employment pressure and the stress of becoming talents have become a bottleneck encountered during the process of cultivating talents in colleges and universities. From the perspective of talent training, this paper explores and investigates the talent training mode in colleges and universities with the combination of both theoretical and practical methods, which is of highly practical value.Results of this paper indicate that in the context of rapidly developing information and knowledge, the knowledge talented person is the least competitive; then the learning-type talent is in the middle level; and the innovative talent is the most competitive. Talent training mode consists of mainly four elements, namely goal, process, system, and evaluation, among which there exists the combination of learning and thinking and integration of knowledge and practice.This paper firstly applied model of demand dimensions to analyze the different demands between the teachers’ view and students’ perspective, contributing to the unity of training mode and structure. Meanwhile, based on the positioning of cultivated talents, this paper took advantage of mode of deviation measure to design a set of effective cultivation system and procedure of talents, making the talent training more systematic and scientific. Therefore, a win-win situation between universities and students can be achieved. This paper also built up a mathematical modeling according to talent training in colleges and universities, with the knowledge talented persons as the research objects. It employed the cultivating model of innovative talents to sum up the characteristics of talent training of universities and evaluated colleges and universities based on a rough set attribute reduction theory. With the realization of talent training mode in colleges and universities, this paper introduced the application of learning theory in universities to the talent innovation and talent training model. Based on the establishment of cultivation mechanism from three perspectives, teaching methods of teachers, research methods of teachers, and the second classroom of students, this paper aimed to produce practical and positive influences on future practice.
