The National Southeast University and the National Central University was the predecessor of Nanjing University during the Republic of China period.It has a decisive position in the history of modern Chinese higher education.This article aims to study the training practice of talents in education in Nanjing High normal school,National Southeast University,and National Central University from 1918 to 1937 and summarize the training model of education talent during this period.The purpose of doing so is to provide reference for the contemporary first-class university talent cultivation.A review of the evolution of the educational disciplines of National Southeast University and National Central University in each period will help to provide a historical background reference for the study of talent training practice.In 1918,the Nanjing High Normal School set up an education specialty to meet the needs of social development and disciplinary development,becoming one of the two pillars in the history of Nanjing University's educational discipline.After Guo Bingwen took charge of the school,he reformed and merged into a comprehensive university,and established the Education Department of National Southeast University.After the establishment of the Nanjing National Government in 1927,the National Fourth Sun Yat-sen University was established and the National Central University was changed.The education department was changed to the establishment of the School of Education,and the department was further expanded.In 1932,after the change of the department by Luo Jialun,the School of Education finally formed the pattern of "two departments and three subjects" which included the Department of Education,the Department of Psychology,Physical Education,Art Education,and Health Education.This pattern lasted until the establishment of the Normal College in 1938During the period of the National Southeast University,under the guidance of Guo Bingwen and Tao Xingzhi,the education department aimed to train researchers,teachers and administrators.It selected students with teaching experience and hired teachers who learned in the US to teach quality courses.And it adopted the course selection system to combine general courses and special courses.It carried out the talent training method which called " Integration of teaching,learning and practice".Students are encouraged to participate in scientific research and social service.After a series of reforms,the talent training mode of education discipline was initially formed,and a large number of first-class educators were trained,which became the key force in the modernization of Chinese education.During the period of the National Central University,the talent training model of "integrated educator" has been developed.The Education Department of the National Central University has inherited the educational philosophy of the Southeast University.The education department further refined the scope of talent training.In terms of curriculum setting,the education department adheres to the principle of gradual progress and the combination of general specialty,and continues the course selection system and the second specialty system.In order to cultivate students with the knowledge of pedagogy principles and specialized subjects and the practical experience of teaching and research,a talent training method that emphasizes " the combination of pedagogy and specific subjects " was adopted.It carries out the strict teaching management system and the thorough employment recommendation service.After several years of accumulation,its talent training work has gradually been recognized by the society,and cultivated leaders in various fields of education.After nearly 20 years of exploration and practice,a specific training mode of talents in education discipline has been established.The main contents of this model are as follows: the educational idea of the mastery educator;the goal of training researchers,teachers and administrators;courses focus on the combination of generalist and specialist,pedagogy and specific subjects;pay attention to the integration of researching and teaching,theory and practice;Strict teaching management system and quality faculty.This model is characterized by the balance between generalists and specialists,the integration of knowledge and practice,and the integration of scientific research and teaching.There are three implications for the cultivation of contemporary first-class talents.The first is clearing target and set up the "integrated" talent training concept.The second is highlighting the comprehensive advantages and optimizing the balanced curriculum structure.The last is adhering to the academic tradition and strengthening the integration of scientific research and teaching training methods.
