To be "students-oriented" in teaching activities, we must respect and protect the rights of students. Like the human rights, Students' rights have gone through a developing process. In teaching activities students both have basic human rights and their special rights. To study the students' right in teaching activities, we must refer to the law in our country but can not be limited to the legal provisions at the same time.In this article, the writer broadly divided the students' rights in teaching activities into four kinds of rights, i.e. the development rights, the freedom rights, the democratic rights, and the rights of personal dignity.Development is a positive change. It is natural that people can develop. People also have the requirement to develop, which makes development a basic human right. In teaching activities, the student's right to receive education, the right to behave, the right to make mistakes and the right to rest and entertain are all derived from the development rights of students.Freedom is an inherent requirement of individual lives. Only in freedom, can people sufficiently develop their personalities and get the chance of becoming outstanding and excellent. The students' rights of freedom in teaching activities consist of the right to think free, the right to put up questions free, the right of body freedom, and the right to choose and so on. The basic concept of democracy is that people are the masters of the country. Students have democratic rights in teaching means that students are the masters of their school and classes. Students' democratic rights in teaching activities include the right to manage by themselves, the right to know, the right to evaluate teachers, the right to appeal and so on. There is absolute equality between people, so students have the right of personal dignity. But like other rights, in teaching activities the violationof the students' right of personal dignity has occurred from time to time.To safeguard the students' rights in teaching, we must further improve the structure of curriculum, develop the school-based curriculum to enhance the richness of curriculum, change the complex, difficult, still and old contents in the basic education curriculum in our country. As to teaching methods, teachers must create a relaxed and joyful teaching atmosphere, guide and inspire students, teach according to the students' personalities. As to the viewpoint of teaching, we must accept that students are real "person" instead of "objects", and view the purpose of teaching as an intrinsic purpose, which is to meet the diverse needs of students, protect the diverse rights of students.
