Chinese is a basic subject, which plays an important part in students' learning processand personality formation. Employed as an important integrated part of content of Chinesecurriculum, reading course has been focused for a long time. And in recent years, theinnovation of students' learning style has become the core of new curriculum reform.Therefore, this paper studies the features , mentality and implementing strategies of students'experiential learning in Chinese reading teaching based on theory and personal experiment.The theory of experiential learning is the result of history. It has a rich history in thewest , and a long history in china. We can find the ideas about experiential learning from thescholars in china and in the west.. According to this article, experiential study is that thelearning subjects obtain explicit knowledge or tacit knowledge including cognative skillhabitual and emotional attitude by observing practicing communicating and the awareness ofobjects signals and emotions or introspect in a certain situation. While in Chinese readingteaching, experiential learning should be that the subjects perceive the sense of beauty andacquire explicit knowledge or tacit knowledge including cognition, emotional attitude.Experiential learning in Chinese reading teaching emphasizes on participation ofindividuals and personality of reading seatiment. Teacher gives the students proper guide tocommunicate with the authors from their hearts when doing reading, during which thestudents experience the authors feeling hidden in their works and at the same time, they obtainknowledge and enjoy the beauty. Thus, the process of experiential learning in Chinese readingteaching is also the process of students' learning language and deepening the meaning ofreading materials. Furthermore, it is totally finished by the students themselves.Experiential learning, its psychological system may be summarized to four taches:apperception, empathy, imagination, and comprehension. Therefore, teacher may helpstudents to carry out experiential learning by using some teaching strategies such as:analyzing language and its meaning, establishing situations to influence them gradually,inducing them by reading affecting texts, lodging the sentiment in instructiveness.In view of its value of theory, experiential learning shows the new ideas of moderneducation which is based on the theory of constructivism. It is a modern learning style with apurpose of promoting human's sustainable development. In terms of practice, experientiallearning creates a new initiative and individual study way instead of traditional passivelearning activities. So we can say that experiential study opens the learners' eyes and mindsand help them appreciate beautiful poems and texts, and it also make reading become theprocess of experience, self-awareness, knowledge internalization.Generally speaking, in the view of author, the implement of Chinese learning throughlived experience is an effective way for students. Although it is an effective way, it has itslimitations, so it needs the other learning styles to make up for that.
