Problems Of High School Students' Autonomous English Reading And Countermeasures

English reading is both the main body in English exams and it is also one of the main abilities to use English. Although our English teaching has been focusing on cultivating students'reading ability, the English reading classroom is the teacher-centered model, and the teaching process focuses on basic language points, like vocabulary, grammar, etc. It is not appropriate to develop student's consciousness, initiative and creativity. It is an attractive topic to cultivate student's autonomous learning ability in the English reading process. To develop students, to cultivate and develop students'autonomous ability, it is the task of the autonomous English teaching.First, the essay states the concept of English reading, the English reading process, the factors affecting English reading, concept of autonomous learning and the features of autonomous learning. English reading is closely related with the autonomous learning.
