With the development of society and educational technologies, bringing internet into English reading course is becoming more and more popular with both students and teachers. There are three advantages of teaching English reading course with the application of Internet: extensive nature, sharing nature and instant nature. Thus, we may make full use of Internet to assist English reading teaching. With the materials collected until now, there are three methods assisting English, reading by applying Internet, topics provided by teachers, Internet surfing for materials by students, free-charge English magazines booked from the Internet, powerpoint coursewares made by teachers after collecting materials and Internetwares created by teachers.Relatively speaking, there are more advantages in Internetwares: questions raised, literature review, research on English reading course in high schools, applying Internet English courseware, data analysis and conclusion. Results demonstrated from the research:1. There were few differences in the scores of the reading comprehension part from the exams of the earlier period. However, obvious differences appeared in the final exam. The scores of experimental class were much higher than those of contrastive class.2. There were obvious differences between the scores in the earlier session and the final exam in the experimental class. The final exam's scores were much higher than the earlier session's.3. Judging from the comparison of standard differences of reading comprehension scores in the two classes, we have found out that the standard differences in the final exam were smaller than the earlier session in the experimental class, which means that the final scores of students in experimental class are more balanced distributed and the gap is smaller than the earlier period. It proves that the students in experimental class have improved a lot in developing their reading abilities.4. Positive changes have taken place in the experimental class from the aspects of attitude towards reading course, interest and confidence.
